Diwali celebrations are not complete without distributing sweets and bursting crackers. While adults are busy mingling with relatives and friends, kids can t do without firecrackers. But this is the time when you need to be extra careful with your kids. 1. Do not wear synthetic or loose clothing
Synthetic, loose or nylon clothing can easily catch fire in case of a mishap. Sometimes, when a child wears loose clothing like a kurta, a part of it catches fire from a diya or a cracker and before the child knows it the fire is too bad to be contained or doused and this results in serious burns.

Children, especially some young boys see Diwali as a time to display daredevilry. And, in trying to one-up their friend in being edgy, they often try bursting crackers in their hands or from a close distance. It is sad and tragic when this bravery leads to accidents. 5. Do not make your child go on top of terraces
