Hi I am Leena, a 27-year-old marketing professional from Bangalore. My company currently gives me a group health insurance. But I have read that it is usually better to get individual health insurance, why is that? Why would my group insurance not suffice? Also what kind of health insurance should I get?

Think of a situation where you leave your current company either to take a break or join another organization. Is there a guarantee that your new employer will provide you with the same health care benefits as your current employer? Also, the amount of cover provided is pre-fixed and may not be sufficient as you get older. Hence, it is advisable to get an individual health insurance cover as well. If you are looking for a suitable health insurance plan which also provides added services, you can read more about health insurance plans here.
