Last time when I was suffering from diarrhoea, my aunt said that curd is good for diarrhoea but milk is a strict no-no. This is because drinking milk might lead to indigestion and vomiting, whereas, curd aids in digestion and helps in treating it. Is it true? Also please tell me what is the best way to deal with diarrhoea at home? Please help.

Hence, buttermilk and curd are highly advisable for people suffering from diarrhoea as they are easy on the stomach and aid in treating the condition. However, according to Dr Debri, ORS or oral rehydration syrups or electoral is the main and the only effective treatment for diarrhoea, if it is not associated with any other health complications.
