I'm a 48-year-old male. From the last few days I am suffering from dry cough. When I cough, urine comes out. Besides, I feel pain in the chest till the belly. I feel faint and fatigued, and have nausea. Please help.

Severe cough can cause involuntary micturition i.e. basically involuntary voiding of urine. It basically indicates a severe cough. So do the other symptoms mentioned. First thing to be tackled is to suppress this cough with a strong cough suppressant syrup (make sure you are not allergic to any of the components within the cough syrup). This syrup can be taken one or two teaspoonful, two to three times a day depending on body weight. Be aware that this will only give temporary relief and may help reduce the other symptoms mentioned. It should be taken for not more than two days without consulting a doctor. Medicines such as codiene may be required if it is still not controlled, but it is only available by prescription and should be taken under a doctor's guidance only. Next thing and the most important is to tackle the cause of this cough, by visiting a nearby doctor. If the symptoms don't resolve even when the cough subsides, then there could be a serious issue and the patient needs to follow up with a doctor immediately.
