How to relieve a fungal infection with neem

Neem leaves to treat a fungal infectionThe monsoons are just around the corner and with all the water and humidity, the atmosphere is just right for fungal infections to catch on. Spending long hours in water or not wiping yourself well enough after you get wet in the rain, makes it very easy for you to contract a fungal infection. But apart from preventive measures there is something easy you can do once you have the infection -- try neem leaves.

Neem is known for its innumerable health benefits. But neem oil is the one thing that is known to complete heal fungal infections like athlete's foot, ringworm infection and a whole other plethora of infections. How does it work? Well, neem contains two main medicinal compounds -- nimbidol and gedunin -- that are extremely effective in killing fungus.

How you can use neem leaves:

Tip 1# Neem oil: Apply a few drops of neem oil on the infected nail. Do this three times a day for immediate results.Read more about the beauty benefits of neem.

Tip#2: Dry and crush some neem leaves. Add this powder to sandalwood powder and and make it a paste with rose water. This mixture will not only kill off the fungal infection but it will also soothe the skin around it. Now apply this to the area where you have the infection.
