Ever wondered why the back of your throat hurts while you are experiencing ear pain? This discomfort is because the Eustachian tube, that runs from the middle of the ear to the throat, gets blocked due to fluid build-up. This fluid, even if not infected, exerts pressure on the eardrum causing pain. Most often, it's an ear infection, but there are many other reasons like cold, sinus infections, etc. that could be the cause. While a doctor can give you the best diagnosis for a condition like this, there are a few home remedies you can try for some quick relief. One such remedy is garlic oil.
Oil is known to soothe your ears as it acts as a lubricant, while garlic is known to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. This combo relieves you from ear pain in less than 15 minutes.
How to make garlic oil?
Alternatively, you can use the juice of crushed garlic as ear drops to soothe your ear pain.
Note: This is only a home remedy and might not be useful in certain cases. It is important that you consult a doctor and get your condition treated at the earliest.
