I have weak eyesight and I have been wearing spectacles since almost 8 years. My power is 5 plus. My work requires me to constantly sit in front of computer or laptop. I am fed up of my spects. Can you suggest me ways to get rid of my spectacles?
Laser-Assisted in situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) or laser vision correction is one of the best options these days if you want to get rid of your spectacles forever. It is a surgical procedure that lasts for about 5-10 minutes. During the procedure, the ophthalmologist uses a computer-controlled laser to vapourise the sides of your cornea, thereby changing its curvature, after it has been opened using a machine called microkeratome. The corneal flap is then put back again. Because of the changes in the curvature of cornea, your eye is able to focus accurately, providing you clear vision.
