The treatment of worms with medications is safe and works well. Deworming once every six months is sufficient to prevent intestinal worms. According to Dr Swati Dave, Nutritionist and Dietician, Ahmedabad, all children (both boys & girls) in the age group of 1-14 years are administered with tabs such as mebendazole & albendazole to treat intestinal worms.
