Yes, it’s that simple. Dancing is not merely an expression of your thoughts and emotions, it is also an excellent way to boost your heart’s health. After all, dancing is a great way of working out your whole body, and in a fun way. And by dancing I don’t mean that you go all out and do some locking-popping, even a light dance that lifts up your mood is enough to give your heart some much needed TLC (tender love care). However, if you really want to reap the benefits of dancing, it is better to do a mildly rigorous form. Here’s how dance can transform your mind, body, soul. The benefits of dancing

A study [1] confirms that dancing, if done with enough intensity, is an excellent form of aerobic exercise and can result in improved cardiovascular functioning. The best way to go about it would be to sign up for a dance class and get trained by professionals. You won’t just be exercising your heart, but also learning the nuances of the dance form — talk about killing 2 birds with one stone! Learn cool dance moves from Madhuri Dixit.

Another study [2] found that Greek traditional dances led to functional and cardiovascular benefits similar to formal exercise training and to a higher level of motivation. It also helped in improving the quality of life in people with chronic heart failure. If people with cardiovascular problems can benefit from dancing, why not you? It definitely makes sense to start taking care of your heart before you have no way out.

Here is a fun dance routine to give your heart some exercise.
