Dried ginger (sonth) is the underground bulb which belongs to the main plant. The flesh can be of different colours yellow, white or red. How to use dry ginger for health purposes?
Diarrhoea
A teaspoon of dried ginger juice added to warm water can be consumed 2-3 times a day to control diarrhoea.
Cold and Cough
A mixture made from honey, ghee and dry ginger powder can help cure a common cold and cough. It also helps reduce the phlegm produced.
Constipation and Indigestion
A mixture of dried ginger, asafoetida and rock salt added to a glass of warm water can help relieve constipation, stomach ache as well as indigestion.
Abdominal pain and Gas
In order to get relief from abdominal pain and gas, grind carom seeds and dried ginger together. Add lime juice to the mixture. Let it dry before adding black salt to it. This powder should be consumed every morning.
