In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old boy from Canada has been diagnosed with a rare disorder where his tongue is turning yellow in colour. According to the reports published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), the boy was diagnosed with cold agglutinin' disease which is a rare autoimmune disorder that generally attacks the immune system of the host's red blood cells. The doctors have reportedly stated that the boy was suffering from a sore throat and dark urine. He was also found to have been suffering from acute jaundice symptoms with an icteric tongue, and the haemoglobin level was 6.1 g per deciliter. Epstein Barr virus is a virus that has been linked with several autoimmune disorders. According to the studies, one of the most unusual symptoms of this condition is the yellow tongue.
