Do you hate drinking water? If your answer is yes, you are not alone. Given a choice, I can go without water for an entire day. I have to remind myself that staying hydrated is very essential and have to force myself to sip some water. Ask me to drink a big glass in one go and I might just throw up. However, I don t mind coconut water or flavoured water. Know why drinking water only when thirsty is bad for you. I used to add Tang or flavoured glucose to my water to up my intake but that s not very healthy either due to the high sugar content. Squash or fruit concentrates are a big no too. What next? Infused water yes that is something you won t mind sipping on to. I had once tried mint infused water and it was refreshing and then there was a belly fat loss drink that is made by infusing water with several ingredients. Both tasted good. I mixed and matched quite a few fresh and easily available ingredients and finally came up with one simple recipe with ingredients that are available in my refrigerator on any given day. Here s my recipe of the cucumber infused water

You need

Method

  • Wash the mint sprigs thoroughly.
  • Peel and slice the cucumber. Wash the lemon and make round and thin slices of it.
  • Fill a vessel or jug with two litres water and add these ingredients. Keep overnight.
  • Strain all at once or you can keep straining it by the glass. I prefer the former.
  • Fill your bottle and keep sipping on this naturally flavoured water.

Thanks to this infused water, I manage to drink 6-7 glasses a day. I know the required amount is 8-10 glasses but nonetheless, I am slowly getting there. Cucumber and lemon are great for the skin. Mint improves digestion and so along with keeping you hydrated, it provides nourishment too.
