Winters have set in and most of us have already started to take out all the blankets and sweaters to fight cold. But one thing that most people are scared of during winters is cough. So rather than taking medications and rolling up your sleeves after you get cough and cold, why not be prepared beforehand. And what's best than trying natural remedies, which are safe, effective and easily available to prevent cough? Here is a simple natural remedy for cough that has worked for me (and believe me even my parents follow this without fail when winters strike) as a preventive remedy for cough. BTW! Tulsi leaves and honey for cough

Yes, Tulsi leaves and honey is a perfect home remedy to fight seasonal cough. All you have to do is chew around 3-4 tulsi leaves on an empty stomach. Do not eat in excess, thinking it can provide you quick relief because it doesn't work that way. After you chew these leaves, have a teaspoon of honey. Wait for at least 10 - 15 minutes before you drink water. Also, do not have your breakfast for around 30 minutes after this as it can interfere with the activity of the compounds in tulsi leaves and honey.
