Brigitte Bardot Health Update: Veteran French actress, Brigitte Bardot, 91, widely popular for her role in And God Created Woman, The Truth and Babette Goes to War, was rushed to the Saint Jean Hospital in Toulon, a local publication reported on Monday, November 24. The 91-year-old star was reportedly hospitalized about 10 days ago for the same 'serious illness' she dealt with earlier in the fall.
And God Created Woman star previously underwent a minor surgery associated with an unspecified illness in early October. The actress then returned to her residence in Saint-Tropez, on the Riviera, after spending three weeks at a private hospital.
At the time, a spokesperson of the 91-year-old was reported to have said, "Madame Bardot has returned home and is now resting. She's fine." However, 10 days ago, for the same reason, the French star was rushed back to the hospital.

Last month, Brigitte Bardot was forced to release a statement that she was not dead, following her stay in hospital which raised concerns over her health condition. One internet user wrote, "According to my exclusive information, Brigitte Bardot died today. Her coffin was ordered in Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat in the 09 (Ari ge) department. Aqababe, whose real name is Aniss Zitouni, 27, added: 'An icon has passed away, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy and an eternal imprint on the hearts of the French."
To set her record straight, she took to X (previously Twitter) and wrote, "I don't know which fool launched this fake news tonight about my disappearance, but know that I'm doing well and have no intention of taking my leave. To those who have ears."

According to reports, the 91-year-old star previously struggled with a respiratory problem in 2023, amid soaring temperatures that summer in Saint-Tropez. After experiencing some breathing problems, Brigitte Bardot was attended by medics at her home in the south of France.
"It was around 9am when Brigitte had trouble breathing' and described the health scare as a 'respiratory distraction. Her breathing was stronger than usual but she did not lose consciousness. Let's call it a moment of respiratory distraction," Bernard d'Ormale, the actress's husband told a leading media outlet, at the time, "Like all people of a certain age, she can no longer bear the heat. It happens at 88 years old. She must not make useless efforts."
Brigitte Bardot's husband further revealed that the actress was given oxygen by the medics and they 'stayed to watch her' for some time, before they left the actress's home.
