A study published in the journal Nanoscale found that a new technique can help in diagnosing lung cancer. The new technique may create a highly sensitive graphene biosensor with the capability to help detect molecules of the most-common lung cancer biomarkers. The new biosensor design may revolutionise the existing electronic nose (e-nose) devices that can identify specific components of a specific vapour mixture a person s breath and analyses its chemical make-up to get to know the cause. Hence, the researchers who carried out the study believe that with further development of the devices, a cheap, reusable and accurate breath test for early-stage detection of lung cancer can become a reality. Though this can be beneficial for people we also tell you how to keep lung cancer at bay.

What is lung cancer?

Your lungs are two spongy organs located in your chest that tend to take in oxygen when you inhale and release carbon dioxide on exhaling. You can also have green tea. Green tea is abundant in antioxidants and can be helpful for people with lung cancer. Whereas, tomatoes, watermelon and papaya can also be a good option as they are jam-packed with antioxidant known as lycopene, which disrupts the growth of cancerous cells. Green and leafy vegetables, like lettuce and cabbage, have Sulforaphane, which is an antioxidant that increases the production of enzymes, which help you get rid of carcinogens from cells.
