Skin rashes are a kind of allergy that could occur to any number of people regardless of how old they are. There are many people who have experienced the appearance of red bumps and spots all over their body. Some of them tend to be itchy and it doesn't take time for them to spread all over your body. If you scratch them, the condition could actually make things worse. Skin rashes differ from one person to the other, in the way they look, why they appear and their severity. If you suffer from skin rashes often, here are some reasons you might have them.
The first and most important cause of body rashes is an allergy to certain substances that could result in presence of itchy spots all over your body. Certain pollutants, chemicals found in soaps, certain foods and cosmetics could be the reason for this kind of rash. Once you come in contact with these, an allergic reaction is triggered within your body that leads to the appearance to rashes on your skin.
Another reason for skin rashes could be certain kinds of viral infections. In the case of a viral infection, rashes take a little time to occur and you will need immediate medical attention to help relieve this symptom.
Exposure to parasites and insects
Insect bites or contact with a parasite could lead to the formation of rashes. In some cases the rash tends to spread when you scratch the area and therefore it is best to get medical attention in such cases.
Did you know irritation of skin could also lead to skin rashes? Yes, if your skin is irritated often and you scratch the area, it will begin to get worse, spread and result in a skin rash. This is probably one of the major reason people suffer from rashes. If you want to take good care of your skin, it is advisable to consult your doctor as soon as you experience skin irritation.
Contact with poisonous plants
Poisonous plants are another reason for skin rashes. Containing chemicals that are meant to protect them, poisonous plants tend to lead to am allergic reaction when they come in contact with the skin due to the substances they contain.
There are a number of people who develop an allergy to certain types of jewelry. It is the not the ornament that leads to the allergy, but the metals that make it up. While most are allergic to artificial jewelery (since they contain a host of metals and chemicals like tin, copper, etc.) there are some people who are allergic to gold and silver as well. When your skin comes into contact with the particular agent it leads to the formation of skin rashes. Usually resolved when the ornament is removed you may need to visit a doctor if the symptoms persist.
