Anxiety can be debilitating and crippling. It can prevent a person from leading a normal, regular life wherein they are able to go out to eat, work, socialise with friends and family, etc. It is all the more difficult for a celebrity to deal with anxiety, because they are constantly in the public eye, and are expected to turn up for events and gatherings. Kendall Jenner, who has practically grown up in the limelight -- courtesy of her super-rich, super-famous Kardashian-Jenner family and a television series that documented their lives -- has been suffering from anxiety, about which she has talked about in numerous interviews. She once again opened up about her mental health during an interview with 'Vogue' for the magazine's cover story for Summer 2024 issue, published May 9. The supermodel admitted she has been experiencing a 'rough patch' lately.

"I'm a negative thinker," the 28-year-old was quoted as telling the outlet. "That is my problem. I am always worrying about something that may never happen." During the interview, the supermodel added that she does not see a reason why she should not be honest about it and talk about her struggles. "In my career right now, I feel really stable, really hopeful. But I have had a tough two months. I have not been myself, and my friends see it. I am more sad than usual. I am way more anxious than usual."

Kendall also stated that she is not going to 'sit here and act like everything is perfect'. "That is life... I am always going to be in and out of those feelings. In past interviews, when someone's asked me about my mental state, it's always been, 'I'm great right now, but this is what I have dealt with.' Well, right now I'm actually in it."

Kendall, who is related to her Kardashian half-sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, also confessed in the Vogue interview that she has suffered from anxiety since she was seven years old. But that time, she did not have the vocabulary to describe her feelings. In fact, she also suffered from panic attacks and sought her mother Kris Jenner's help when she would struggle to breathe. "I was an emotional kid, always in my feelings and my head. I freaked myself out a bit."

For the model, choosing to do the activities that bring her joy and comfort, help. She called horseback riding her 'healthy addiction'. "Whenever I go [riding] -- of course it is a great excuse to get outside and not be on my phone and forget about work and fully put my brain and my energy into how I'm going to get my horse over these obstacles. But, there is something about the nostalgia of it. I liked this so much as a kid, but as a kid you are working with a trainer, and your parents will not get you the helmet or the crop you want. Now I am an adult and it is all my choice and I can do all this for myself. It's like soul food for me," she told the publication in her interview.
