Ageing is a part of life and there is no reason to be afraid of it. In fact, in order to age gracefully, one must embrace and trust this process, while taking care of the body and ensuring that good nutrients are included in the diet. One must know what kind of exercises to do during the different phases of ageing to add to the quality of life. While many celebrities have talked about ageing in the past, there has not been anyone like Jennifer Garner, who has truly understood the changing demands of the body. Recently, the 51-year-old actor got candid about her age, why she is unafraid of the years getting added to her life, and why she believes this is something to be grateful about.
"Honestly, mostly, I am grateful just to be alive," the mother-of-three told People magazine in a recent interview, adding that she does have "moments" where she reflects on being young. "And, I'm grateful for the wisdom that I've gleaned out of these years, and really grateful to be able to watch other women go through this process of life so gracefully."
Garner, who was previously married to actor Ben Affleck -- with whom she shares teenage daughters Violet Anne (18), Seraphina Rose (15), and son Samuel, 12 -- told the publication that her advice to other women would be to take care of themselves and not be scared. "Aging is a gift," she said.
Garner, who famously starred in the movie '13 Going on 30', told People that she "works out every day", as it is "super important" for her mental health. "I eat really well; I just finished a big bowl of kale. And, I have a really strong family and strong relationships in my life," the actor was quoted as saying.
In the interview, she also stated that she does not try to be 'Pollyanna all the time'. "I'm gentle with myself."
Garner is all set to celebrate her 52nd birthday later this year, on April 17. She reportedly said that she is prioritising "look(ing) outside of" herself. "Every year, I do something that I love... Last year I went to a park in L.A. and planted trees with my kids. One year, we loaded backpacks up to give kids food to take home with them after school."
