Pay Attention To Breathing
According to the psychologist, conscious breathing is one of the most powerful and accessible tools for dealing with the mental clutter. "When you pay attention to your breath, you are planted firmly in the present moment. You break the cycle of stressful thoughts. When you spend only 60 seconds of deep, conscious breathing, you are able to reduce stress and refocus your thoughts," she says. Get to a quiet place, close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply. Feel the air coming into and leaving your body. If your thoughts begin to wander, gently bring them back to your breath.
