Or you have damaged ends, and you have to cut your strands off every time before you even think of growing them? We have all been there. But if you do not want to go for a trim, there is this one method called hair dusting where you can get rid of the split ends without losing the precious length of your hair. Hair and beauty expert Janet Fernandez tells you how it is done.
Dusting is a hair care practice that involves slicing off the damaged tips of your strands. You need to only cut less than a quarter inch of hair from the ends. It is simply an alternative to trimming where you end up cutting the large amount on a frequent basis. The technique is quite similar to velaterapia where an open flame is used to remove split ends. When you are dusting, you need to look for uneven and thinning parts of the hair. With dusting, you will have fewer split ends and less overall damage. The only downside of dusting is that it is a time-consuming process. You can also try these natural remedies for split ends.
