  • To reduce the redness, burning and irritation, wash your face with cold water. Also, don t touch your skin after threading as it tends to become extremely sensitive.
  • Sometimes after threading, the hair follicles on your skin can get infected with bacteria, which can lead to breakouts. Pour some toner on a cotton ball and wipe your skin with it. Go for a toner that contains salicylic acid as it will not only break down the oil in the pore but also kill bacteria.
  • An excellent way to soothe the irritated skin is to apply a light nourishing moisturiser. Just make sure that the moisturiser you pick is free of alcohol.
  • If you see too many bumps on your forehead after plucking, applying a few drops of tea tree oil mixed with coconut oil (or any base oil) can help heal the area. Tea tree oil contains both antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that will help soothe the skin. Using lavender oil similarly can be another effective way to heal the skin. You can also apply an antiseptic ointment like Neosporin.
  • Don t expose your skin to the sun as it can further irritate your skin. In case you step out, make sure you use a good sun s screen lotion and wear a hat or use your umbrella.

So the next time you thread your eyebrows, make sure you follow these tips. Also, find out what is the best way of getting rid of unwanted hair- threading, bleaching or waxing?
