You can, however, treat the acne with a few home remedies. Dr Sejal recommends these home remedies for treating pimples caused by dandruff:

Tea tree oil: One of the best natural remedies for pimples caused by dandruff is tea tree oil. Tea tree oil contains terpenes an effective anti-bacterial agent which help kill the bacteria causing pimples. It also has antiseptic properties that contribute to reducing the blemishes.

Steps to use:

  • Mix well two tablespoon curd and one tablespoon honey.
  • Then add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil in it.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and then apply on your face.
  • Let it settle for 20 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.
  • Apply this pack every alternate day until you see results.

Aloe vera: Aloe vera also contains certain antibacterial agents which help in inhibiting the growth of bacteria causing pimples. A good thing about aloe vera is that it suits every skin type, and it also has a soothing effect on the skin at the same time. Here are 10 ways you can use aloe vera for better health and beauty.

Steps to use:

  • Just scoop out the gel of an aloe vera leaf with a spoon and apply it directly to the affected area.
  • Leave it for half an hour and then wash it off with cold water. Repeat this for a few days and you will see the acne disappearing.

Tips to prevent acne caused by dandruff

  • Brush your hair regularly to remove any dandruff flakes from your hair. Also, tie your hair to make sure that the flakes your hair do not fall on your face.
  • Make sure you wash your hair 3 times a week with an anti-dandruff shampoo.
