Shweta Sachani, a bridal make-up artist, based in Delhi, tells you five things that every bride-to-be must tell her make-up artist before the big day. 1. A brief about your personality
It's important to know what kind of a person the bride is, whether she is shy or adventurous or whether she understand make-up at all. Make sure you meet your make-up artist for a cup of coffee or snacks and tell her a few things about yourself. This is important because if you're a shy person, bold make-up is something that you won't like, and vice versa.
2. The wedding dress
Being a professional make-up artist, they will know what colours compliments which dress. This will help them decide your eye make-up, your lip colour and the rest of your make-up. So make sure you let your make-up artist know what you're wearing for which function. Here are some more useful beauty tips for all you brides-to-be.
3. Do not forget the jewellery
Jewellery is what accentuates your entire look and therefore, the artist must know what jewellery you'll be wearing and with which outfit. The reason being the same -- it will help the make-up artist decide on which part of your face to work on more and which colours to use.
4. Definitely, your skin type
Do you have dry skin, combination skin or oily skin? Or don't know what your skin type is at all? This is the most important thing that your wedding make-up artist must know. You don't want any allergies or breakouts on your big day or a few days following the wedding. If you don't know your skin type, let your make-up artist help figure that out.
5. What's your lifestyle like?
'If the bride is a working woman then obviously she has not been taking proper care of her skin, because she hardly has any time. On the other hand, a stay-at-home bride can make sure that she is doing everything she can to take care of her skin. So it's important to know about these things. Also, brides go on a crazy diet plan few weeks before their wedding. What they don't understand is that it affects their skin too', says Shweta.
