Every woman dreams of being that glowing bride. Often brides-to-be resort to a lot of beauty treatments and makeup products. However, it is important to remember that sometimes these treatments and remedies can lead to many side effects and bring about undesirable results. If you are getting married anytime soon, avoid these skincare mistakes says beauty expert Nandini Agarwal from Marvie Ann Beck Academy.
1. Trying new facials and chemical peels: Very often the want of glowing, radiant skin is so great that most brides-to-be get carried away by chemical peels and facial treatment. This is a big no especially if you have never tried these treatments before. If they do not suit your skin, they can even lead to a breakout. So do not dive into any treatment right before the wedding and stick to a skin care regime that you have always been doing.
5. Exfoliating too often: You may think exfoliating the skin too often may help you get rid of the dead skin cells and also remove any developing breakout. Most of us are also in the habit of scrubbing our skin too harshly. This can strip your face of the natural oils along with the dirt and grime and make you more susceptible to rashes. So make sure that you do not exfoliate your skin too often. Rub your skin gently while you exfoliate and don t use an exfoliating scrub more than two times a week.
3. Not using a moisturiser: You have got to moisturise your skin regularly if you want it to look healthy at the wedding. If you do not do this already, use a water-based moisturiser to moisturise your face twice a day. Here are bridal makeup tips to look stunning on your wedding day.
4. Trying out new home remedies: Many brides also take the natural route and try put home remedies they have never tried before. Don t experiment right before the wedding as certain ingredients may not suit your skin and lead to a breakout. Do a patch test before you try any home remedy. However, it is always wise to stick to solutions that worked for you in the past.
5. Eating acidic foods: You may be particular about your food intake, but the pH of the foods also matters. An imbalance of pH levels can lead to acne breakouts and sensitive skin. Acidic foods such as sugar and egg yolks lower the pH in your body while green vegetables and some fruits are alkalizing in nature and help in balancing the pH levels in your body. So ensure that your diet has a ratio of 70:30 of alkaline to acidic foods to maintain your pH balance. Here are 15 yoga poses to become a beautiful bride.
