Is ingrown hair stopping you from flaunting your legs in skirts and shorts? Try these scrubs to get rid of it. They are easy to use and prepared with ingredients from your kitchen.

Sugar and clove scrub

Whip up a simple sugar and clove scrub to get rid of ingrown hair. Sugar helps scrape off the dead cells helping the ingrown hair come out of the skin. Clove has anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial properties that can reduce the redness caused by ingrown hair. Steps to use:

  • Take half cup of brown sugar, add 2-3 drops of clove essential oil.
  • Also add jojoba oil or almond oil to the mixture.
  • Scrub your skin with the mixture and rinse it with lukewarm water before you towel dry it.

Sugar and tea tree oil scrub

To get rid of the ugly bumps from ingrown hair, use this sugar and coconut oil scrub. Sugar will help exfoliate the area while tea tree oil will reduce the swelling and inflammation.

Steps to use:

  • Add cup of coconut oil to cup of raw sugar.
  • Also add ten drops of tea tree oil to the mixture.
  • Use it in the areas of ingrown hair and concentrate on rough patches such as the elbows and knees.
  • Rinse and towel dry.

Coffee and yoghurt scrub

You already know that yoghurt works wonders for the skin. And ground coffee can be a great way to prevent skin ageing. But did you know that both these ingredients can help you get rid of ingrown hair? Ground coffee will help loosen the hair, and yoghurt will help soothe the inflamed skin.

Steps to use:

  • To 1/4th cup of plain yoghurt, add two tablespoons of ground coffee.
  • Also add one tablespoon of coconut oil to the mixture.
  • Then add the juice of a lemon and mix well.
  • Apply it on your skin and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
