People can t seem to get enough of the rainbow beauty things rainbow hair and rainbow braids and all these for good reason. The vibrant colours look magical and fun. Stylists and experts on Instagram seem to be crushing over VIBGYOR and the new rainbow eyelash trend.

Yes, you are reading that right. Next time you are bored of those black lashes, go for the coloured options. You can either use different hues of mascaras on your lashes or totally fake them using the extensions. Made of synthetic fibres, the extensions are now available in shades and all the rainbow colours on the eye look spectacularly stunning.

If you are trying it at home, beauty expert Nilima Singh Rodrigues tells you how to ace it.

  • Start by using clear or a black mascara as a base and then swipe the different hues of mascara on your upper and lower lashes. If you want, you can just stick to the upper lashes.
  • If you want to thicken your eyelashes, swipe a light coat of mascara, use some translucent powder on the upper lashes and then move on to the second layer. Alternatively, you could also brush your mascara through some baby powder and then dip it into the liquid to get that volume. If you want to make your eyes look wide, start applying the mascara from the tip of the lashes and then proceed along lightly.
  • Wiggle your mascara back and forth. Then comb out the clamped eyelashes with a clean toothbrush. These tips will help you apply the mascara perfectly.
