Product Review: Natural Bath and Body Sweet Ocean Body Mist

Here's what I think of this super economical body mist from Natural Bath and Body.

I perspire quite a bit in Mumbai and hence have started investing in different fragrances so that I smell good all day, whether at home, running errands or going to work. At home, I experiment with fragrances but for outdoors, I play safe. My favourite so far is Victoria Secret s body mist and Elizabeth Arden s green tea perfume. I will review that later in another post.

Coming back to today s review, I recently read my colleagues review of the fab bag and was browsing the website when I can across their range of body mists. After reading the description, the Natural Bath and Body Sweet Ocean Body Mist was something that matched my taste. I hate floral or sweet fragrances. I prefer fresh citrusy and spicy notes over sweet ones.

The review

I decided to give it a go. While the experience of shopping on Fab Bag wasn t that great and I d never order anything from there, the product is not that bad. It comes in a humble plastic bottle with a black nozzle and is sleek. The compact bottle can fit in a clutch too. So that s a plus point. As the name suggests, I expected to smell the ocean or feel fresh in just one spritz but this one is Sweet Ocean, so obviously there is a tinge of sweetness to it -- a total put off for me. It does have calming base notes with a sweet aquatic smell that s not floralt. However, it does not last too long; it lasts for about three-four hours but doesn't emanate much fragrance after the first hour. The labeling on the bottle is of cheap paper so I didn t find it classy or stylish to hold.

However, given the price of the product, I think it s justified. For just Rs325 for a 200ml bottle of body mist, this is the best you can get. Besides, it does not have a lot of those weird sounding ingredients so it probably is safe for the skin.

Would I buy the Natural Bath and Body Sweet Ocean Body Mist again? Guess not. I ll give some other fragrance a try.
