I don t have curly hair but it is very frizzy. I don t remember leaving my hair open for an outdoor party out of fear of scaring the guests. I have to either get a blow dry or temporary straightening done to keep it on place. Besides, my hair is relatively dry so when left open, it does not look good. You may suggest hair serums and I know there are several good products available in the market that can tame my tresses, but nothing permanent! You can also try these natural ways to tame frizzy hair.

A few years back I did try the Livon serum and it was horrible. It would leave my hair looking oily and I disliked touching my hair after applying it. Anyway, I chanced upon the L oreal Profesional TEC Liss Control Serum a few days back and here's my experience with it.

The claim

L oreal claims that it manages frizzy hair for 24 hours. It sounds impressive, but a little doubtful. Nonetheless, I decided to finally buy a hair serum and see if it can really work for me. You can also manage dry, frizzy hair with powerdose repair treatment.

My review

I was to go for a party at a seaside lawn and so I decided to use this one. Though one pump gives enough product, I wasn t sure. I didn t want a fiasco at the event. So I used a little more than 2 pumps and ensured it coats my towel dried hair evenly. I wanted to apply a little more but feared it might make my hair look oily. The hair definitely looked shinier and I kept asking my partner during the party if my hair had luster and finish. According to him, it looked good and not frizzy. Yes, I finally had something that can control the frizz to some extent. I have also tried this homemade hair mask for my frizzy hair.

The pros

The bottle is attractive and I love the pump. It does not need a lot of pressure. Just one gentle squeeze and the serum is out. Also, it can be twisted and locked and hence is spill proof. Easy to carry when on the go.

The cons

The serum needs to be applied on towel dried hair. When applied on slightly wet hair, it will give you a flat and wet look throughout. When applied on dry hair, it will not control the frizz well. I would have preferred if it can show some results when applied to dry hair. I cannot wash my hair every day if I have to apply it continuously for a couple of days. It is also a little expensive -- a 50ml bottle costs Rs590. However, I am hoping it shall last me at least six months when used occasionally.

Will I buy it again? It s a 50-50. I will wait for this to get over and decide.
