Let s accept it. Applying layers after layers of moisturiser on your face during winters is a boring task. If you have dry skin, the number of applications may increase. Moreover, a cream based moisturiser often makes the skin feel slightly dull and sticky. I have fallen in love with gel based products these days. They get absorbed easily and do not leave any kind of residue. Here s why your skin feels dry a few hours after applying moisturiser.
While on a look out for a good hydrating gel, I chanced upon the L Oreal Hydrafresh Supreme Emulsion gel and immediately picked it up. I fell in love with the light turquoise glass tub it comes in. The packaging is average but the container looks elite. It s compact and easy to carry though I don t need it for regular day-time application.
My review:
Since it is a gel, it leaves an amazing cooling effect on the skin. You need to take a small amount as it spreads easily. You may take more if required but start with little to prevent over application. I use it after my regular cleansing routine in the morning and it gets absorbed quickly and makes me feel fresh. A week of regular application left my dry skin feeling quenched and hydrated.
It has also reduced the signs of my winter tan to some extent in the past three weeks. Here are some expert tips to get rid of winter tan. It also gives a nice matte effect to your skin. It has a natural fragrance which is not too overpowering and reminds me of the sea.
