Late nights, sitting in front of the computer screen for hours and pollution started giving me dark circles. My eyes appeared tired and dull at all times. I had to do something about it. We cleanse our face, moisturise it daily and then assume that the under eye area is obviously covered in that routine and hence may not need extra attention. You can also try these 8 ways to keep dark circles away.

But that s just our laziness or ignorance. Your eyes and the area around it need special attention too, especially if they are exposed to stress and fatigue. I had never used an under eye cream before so had no clue of which product I must pick up to stop the early signs of ageing and dark circles from appearing.

A friend recommended the Herbs & More Vitamin Therapy under eye gel. So I decided to give it a try. The container is a sturdy white tub with flip cap. Compact and leak proof so it s easy to carry around. The gel has no scent which means it doesn t have the unnecessary chemicals. The core ingredients are chicory flower extract, coffee extract, vitamin E and C. Needless to say, vitamin E does wonders for your skin and keeps it moisturised for long. The other ingredients prevent the signs of ageing.

The review

The gel has a watery consistency. It is transparent and easy to apply. Remember to use only a small amount so that the product lasts long. It spreads easily and dries up easily too. It doesn t leave a sticky residue and so you can apply it during the day too.

I prefer applying it when I am back from work to relax my fatigued eyes and prevent any puffiness. It keeps the under eye area super moisturised and hydrated. There is no itchiness. In fact, it gives you a nice cooling sensation. My eyes don t look dull and dark anymore. There may not be a visible fairness in the under eye area but it is getting back to normal. I love the feel of the product no fragrant, easily absorbing and cooling.

The product is priced at Rs 450 for 50g but the tub will last you for a couple of months even if you apply it daily. So all in all, I am happy with the under eye gel and will continue using it for some time now. My colleague tried the Avarta under eye cream and it worked for her.
