The amount of time I spend working, it is not always possible to get waxed. Unless it's a girls' day out when the mother and daughters decide to spend their time at a spa! I would prefer shaving over waxing any day. It is painless, quick and doesn't require you to book an appointment and then wait in the parlour for your turn. I came across the Gillette Venus shaving kit while I was buying lipsticks at this beauty store and decided to give it a try. It has been more than a month since I have been using it and I am totally happy with it.
What you get in the kit
In the kit, you get one refillable razor along with the cartridge, two extra shaving cartridges, and one Satin Care Sensitive Skin shaving gel.
How to use it
My experience
Apart from the few cuts and wounds, I have totally enjoyed using this product (FYI, the cuts and bruises were because I used the razor harshly). The shaving gel that you get in the kit helps the razor glide smoothly and also makes sure that your skin is not rough after shaving. It also lasts a really long time. I have been using the razor for a month now and haven't had to change it yet. You need to change the blade when the blue strip on the razor fades away, and you are no longer getting the kind of shave you used to get.
I am one of those fortunate people who do not have a lot of hair on them, so I can use one razor for a longer time as compared to people who have abundant hair growth. The entire kit costs Rs. 549/- only and is worth all the money spent for me. Also, for those wondering if you should use a razor or not, it is completely safe! Just follow the instructions given behind the kit properly.
