Monsoons will bring a respite from the heat but lead to skin and hair issues. Come monsoons, all types of skin needs some love and care. Here is a monsoon skincare routine for different skin types. Sebaceous glands become hyperactive during monsoons creating a problem of oily skin. Few people also experience dry skin during this season. Beauty expert Shahnaz Hussain shares with you some quick home remedies that you can help keep your skin healthy and glowing:
Scrubbing and cleansing
To eliminate the pores of hardened oil and keep them dirt and oil free, deep pore cleansing with a good scrub is essential. Take a mix of ground almonds, powdered orange or lemon peels. Mix it with curd to form a thick paste. Massage it in circular motions on your face gently for 2-3 minutes. Wash it off with plain water. Repeat this twice a week for best results. Monsoon face mask
Take one egg white. Mix 3 teaspoons of oats in it. Add one teaspoon of honey and few drops of orange juice or rose water to make a paste that is easy to apply. Apply it evenly on your face and leave it for 30 minutes. You can also add dried lemon peel or orange peel powder to it. Use this face pack twice a week and keep your skin fresh and glowing. You can also try these orange peel masks for a healthy glow.
Removing blackheads
Take an egg white and mix it with oats. Apply this mix on blackhead prone areas and let it dry. Once completely dry, moisten it with wet fingers and rub it on the face. Follow this twice a week to keep your skin free from blackheads. Wash it off with plain water. Here are some more tips to get rid of blackheads.
