In your 30s, your skin may start exhibiting early signs of wrinkles and starts looking dull. Here are some useful make-up tips by make-up artist Janet D souza to help keep you looking as young as you did in your 20s!
Face
For your face, use a full coverage foundation to hide the spots and dark circles. Opt for a concealer that matches your foundation. The concealer will adequately camouflage any blemishes or dark spots. Just, don t make the mistake of wearing a lighter shade of concealer as it can make your face appear very dull.
Also, be sure to contour your face to make it look slimmer and younger. A light dusting bronzer can also give an attractive glow to your face. Use the bronzer on the perimeter of your face, your hairline and your jawline. A little bit of blush can also go a long way in making your cheeks appear bright. Here's a dermatologist's guide to make you look like you are in your 20s when in your 30s.
Eyes
In your 30s you may be ridiculously busy to make time to touch up your eye make-up. So ensure that you use an eyeshadow primer to make sure that your lids look polished throughout the day. Also, steer clear of sparkly and bright coloured eye make-up and stick to neutral colours instead. When using your eyeliner, just make sure that it blends well with your eyeshadow. When lining your upper eyelid ensure that the line curves up at the outer edges of your eyes, instead of curving down. Curving the liner up will lift your eyes as opposed to making them look droopy. Also, use volume-boosting mascara and work on thickening your lashes. Follow these 9 tips for long-lasting make-up.
While in your 30s you should also pay more attention to your eyebrows. Make sure that they are always shaped correctly. Your brows should make a definite arc and ensure that you don t make your brows round.
Lips
You don t need to do much to make your lips look good. They are pretty full in your 30s and you can experiment with colours. Just don t go overboard with bold colours and stick to the subtle ones. Also, ensure that your liner is not darker than your lipstick or your lip gloss. Keep in mind to rub a little concealer on your upper lip line before you apply any lip colour to fill in the tiny lines on your lips, if any. Here are 10 quick tips to correct any make-up gone wrong.
These tips will give you a more polished appearance in your thirties, so make sure you keep them in mind.
