I always wondered if body salts really worked and are worth the money we spend on them. Recently I received a gift from a dear friend and I was happy to see they were bath salts. The gift pack contained two bath salt bottles from different brands. I couldn t wait to try!
Now I have read several stories on how effective rock salt is and have even added it to warm water to make a foot soak to soothe my tired feet. So on a day when I had some time to take a relaxed bath, I decided to try the Khadi Bath Salt Crystals with Almond and Rose. The other bottle is kept for a review later. Now here s my take on it.
The trial
As instructed, I added two heaped tablespoons of the bath salt in a bucket of hot water. I decided to use it as a foot soak as I my feet were aching from wearing heels the previous day. I dipped my feet in the bucket and started reading the claims of Khadi naturals for the bath salts. According to them, the salts can also soften calluses, corn and hard skin. It relieves body ache and relaxes tired muscles while stimulating blood circulation. The ingredients are all natural and also possess antibacterial properties. So all in all, it is an all natural bath salt with the sweet and comforting fragrance of rose and almond oil.
I didn t realise when my feet started feeling relaxed. It was as if someone put a magic potion in there and the pain was all gone. I took my feet out, wiped them with a cloth only to find that they looked squeaky clean too. I used a foot file and scraped off the dead skin and I don t think I need a pedicure for a few days.
My review
I loved the product. Besides, it is very economical. It costs you just Rs.150 for a 210g bottle and will last you for a month or little more if used every week. The salts are fragrant and the aroma lingers on your feet for a couple of hours. The best part is, it lives up to its claim of relaxing your feet.
The only con is the cap with a flip-top. Since the salts are thicker or slightly coarse, it is difficult to pour it out the flip top cap. You have to open the cap completely. Other than that, they are a perfect gift item.
Would I buy it again? Yes and I will also try the other bath salts Khadi naturals has to offer.
