I had a lot of hair genetically and there are no bald people in my family. But when I was 12, I was very nervous and I started this weird habit of playing with my hair in front of my head and plucking them off. The patch was the size of a medium-sized plate. I quit this habit after one or two months but I think I took the hair root off too because I remember that there was like a white little thing at the end of the hair. After that I became partly bald. I thought my hair would grow again, but it never did. And it really annoys me. I am really young and this is frustrating for me. Please suggest something.

You have something called 'Trichotillomania' which is a psychological condition that creates an irresistible urge to pull one's own hair out. If you believe you are cured of this condition and do not do it any more, you can go in for hair transplantation to cover the thin and balding areas. If the urge is still there, you need to be treated for the condition which may or may not be associated with stress, depression, etc by a psychiatrist before you can opt for hair restoration.
