Hats instantly draw attention to your hair too even if you think you've got it covered with your OTT hat. Therefore, it is important that your hair rather hairstyle is impeccable too. Celebrity hairstylist Paul Edmonds, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry, gives hair tips that one should follow before stepping out with your hats on.
Hair normally looks better worn back and away from the face, especially if it your hat has a large brim.
If your hair is long and you want a simple quick hairdo, try putting your hair in a low ponytail and split the hair behind the band down the middle and pass the tail through itself and pull tight to get a soft, rolled up look.
Long hair can also be plated and finished with a binding of ribbon.
If you have shorter hair, tuck the sides back or leave them out until the hat is on and then fold them back and grip under the hat.

If you have fringes, part them on one side and leave it and clip the rest of the hair together in a bun. Use a hairspray to set it so that it stays in place.
When you wear a hat which has an elaborate design, make sure you tone down your hairstyle. Leave your hair open or simply make a loose bun.
If you want a hair which is manageable very easily, you can opt for a braided ponytail. Something on the lines of a fishtail braid which looks good and is hassle-free too. Use a hairspray or serum to secure loose strands in place.
