ShaveHi, I am an 18-year-old student. I have dense facial hair growth which is kind of genetic. Most of the times, while shaving I suffer from cuts. This also causes acne problems. Shaving is the key to look presentable, both officially and socially. Hence, it is very important to keep in mind the importance of treating your skin right and also understanding the latest razor technologies available in the market. Here are a few tips that would help you to achieve a ‘perfect’ shave:

1. Get the right shaving gel. A lubricating and non-irritating one will help in keeping the skin normal without irritation and acne.

2. Choose the right razor for your skin since some can prove sharp and aggressive.

3. Shave the hair in the direction of the growth of the hair follicle.

4. You can opt for products that contain benzoyl peroxide or any other antibiotic element that prevents acne formation or breakouts.

5. In the end, splash cold water on your face to close the pores. Afterwards, apply an aftershave balm to keep the pores closed and to moisturise the skin. (Read: Top shaving myths busted)
