I am a 29-year-old working professional. Off late, I've noticed that my hair is thinning and I can see a receding hair line. How do I conceal this? Are there any tips to prevent this?
Noticing hair thinning can be quite disappointing and it's probably an alarm for you to look into your haircare habits. Here are a few tips.
The quick-fix
Opt for a textured crop cut with uneven layers. It helps cover thinning hair or a broad forehead as the hair blends in naturally with the rest of the thick hair. In case of a receding hair line, let your forehead not look bare and style it such that it falls on the front.
Further cautions
Skip the blow-dry and even if you are in need of it, choose the lowest setting. Exposure to chlorinated water can cause more damage than you may think. Be particular to use a clarifying shampoo after you go swimming. With unpredictable weather conditions such as ours, gels can be done away with and instead opt for a UV protection hair spray or hair serum to cope with the sun. The age-old champi is the classic hair regime and shouldn't be forgotten. Massaging the scalp with some coconut oil, almond oil or jojoba oil regularly stimulates hair growth.
Many a times, hormonal causes, medications, medical and hereditary conditions also contribute to hair thinning and falling. In such cases, doctor's instructions are ideal for effective reduction in hair thinning.
