DandruffHi, I am 31 year-old corporate man. Since past few months, I have been suffering from dandruff. This creates a bad impression with those flakes settling on my dark-coloured suits. I've tried a few remedies but they didn't work that effectively. Could you please suggest some home remedies for the problem?

Dandruff is one of the most irritating, visible problems a man can face. It may be caused due to sensitivity to other hair-care products, certain oils, not shampooing often enough or maybe due to dry skin.

You can use amla or methi to get rid of your dandruff problems. Here are some tips that would help you out with the preparation of the pack and its application.

1) Amla

To make an anti-dandruff pack, take a little amla powder and mix it in water. Apply this on your scalp and leave for a few minutes before washing it off with water. To make the paste more effective, you can combine 10 ground basil leaves (tulsi) to the paste. (Read: Use amla hair pack to get rid of dandruff)

2) Methi

Soak methi seeds in some water overnight (the amount of methi seeds you take depends on the thickness and length of your hair). After they have been soaked for at least eight hours, grind them to make a paste. Now apply this paste on your scalp and leave it in for half an hour. Next, wash your hair and scalp well with reetha or soapnut powder. (Read: Use methi seeds to banish dandruff)
