Hello, I am a 20-year-old guy. I'm a student pursuing my degree. I have dry skin problem which flakes out continuously and leaves it in a bad condition. Could you please suggest some home remedies or face packs to deal with this problem?
Dry and dull skin can be due to your genetics or environmental factors. What you can do is do some minor changes in your diet, skin care products, your home environment and even what you wear. Just follow a few tips and soon you will notice visible changes in the appearance and texture of your skin. (Read: Tips to manage dry skin)
Add a few drops of lime juice and some honey to powdered orange (dry the peels and then blend them to make powder) and then mix it well to make a pack. Apply it on your face and neck and leave it to dry. Then wash it off with cool water and pat dry. You can even use orange peel directly by squeezing it on your skin or rubbing the peel till it changes color.
Combine watermelon pulp with cucumber juice and leave it on your face for 10 minutes. Then wash it with cold water. This pack is good for removing tan as well.
Papaya is rich in vitamin A and C which keeps lines, wrinkles, dull skin at bay and gives the skin its firmness by producing more collagen. To make a pack, cut small papaya cubes and then add some honey and raw milk to it. Mash and mix well and then apply on the face and neck. Let your skin take in its benefits and then wash away with water. (Read: Try fruit face packs for glowing skin)
Besides, healthy eating habits and being hydrated throughout the day can help your skin get its moisture and texture back.
