Strobing done at the the end of your makeup regimen can work wonders for the shape of your face and define your cheekbones beautifully. For getting a celebrity-like strobed look you don't need much of an effort. Here's how you can strobe like a pro at home. But before that here's how you can prepare your face for strobing.

  • Moisturize: The most important step for almost every makeup regimen is moisturising. Opt for a water-based moisturizer.
  • Prime: It is more like preparing the canvas for painting. Priming makes the skin smoother for further product applications especially targeted areas like below your eyes, your cheeks, nose and your T-zone.
  • Colour correction: Colour corrector pens are truly a boon in the makeup industry. It helps you deal with redness, dark circles, marks or open pores. As the name suggests it evens out your skin tone. Go for the pastel colour correcting concealers. According to the thumb rule, green can help counterbalance redness, while peach can help conceal dark circles.
  • Apply foundation:Foundation will make or mar your makeup hence make sure that you apply a foundation that will be able to hold on the highlighter and isn't too matte or dry.
  • Conceal: Find a skin-matching concealer and camouflage any imperfections.

Now you can strobe and make your makeup look flawless

How to strobe: Take a highlighter either in liquid or powder form and apply your highlight of choice in an inward to outward motion. The areas you can highlight are your cheekbones, the inner corners of your eyes, brow bone, the tip of your nose(not too much) and your cupid s bow. Blend it all well.

Note: Pick a highlighter that complements your skin tone. For example: For enhancing peachy, pink, yellow or blue tones in neutral skin tones go for rose colour, a gold colour will flatter peach and yellow tones in warm skin tones and ice one will help flatter pink or blue tones in cool skin tones.
