Hairstyle of the day – Back Combed Gelled

It's slick and sophisticated and doesn't ask for too much of an effort. The combed back, gelled look works well for a formal night and adds sophistication for a casual outing.

Saif Ali khan, Combed back lookThe brushed back look is clean and slick and sets you up for a formal tuxedo look or adds that sophistication to a casual one. It's easy to achieve, but you need to be cautious with the amount of pomade (hair product) you use. You don't want it over done.

You may need: pomade, gel, comb, brush, hair glossing serum.

  • After a hair wash, towel-dry your hair until damp.
  • Comb the sides of your hair down and backwards. Blow-dry them in the same direction until completely dry.
  • For the crown portion, follow the same down and backwards motion while combing and then proceed to blow-drying.
  • If you want a heightened look in the front, use some gel. Comb your hair from the front loosely and don't pull it back to tight. You could have the sides combed back completely. Apply some gel in the same direction.
  • For a very sleek and pulled back look, apply the pomade in the combed direction. You could either comb the front, straight behind or go slightly diagonal.
  • You could use a glossing serum, for that finishing shine.

This hairstyle isn't high maintenance and it's easy to achieve, but it just exudes sophistication.
