You don t need to visit expensive salons every time you need a colour touch-up. You can always do it on your own at home. However, before you go ahead with dyeing your hair at home keep these guidelines in mind says beauty expert, Nilima Singh Rodrigues from Marvie Ann Beck Makeup & Hair Academy

Tips to purchase

  • Foam dyes can be best for sensitive skin as they won t drip on your hairline and face. If your hair is curly or thick, you will have better luck with the liquid formulas. They can provide full coverage and distribute efficiently throughout the hair.
  • When you buy a hair colour, buy more than what you need. Purchase one or two boxes of dye more depending on your length and thickness. You will agree that it is better to have some extra colour in stock than to run out of it half way.
