How far would you go to look young? We've heard about bird poo facials and the recent vampire facial made famous by Kim Kardashian. But this one surely takes the cake when it comes to bizarre beauty treatments. Fire facial or Hu li o treatment as it is known in China the place of its emergence, is a shockingly weird facial where the face is literally ablaze. See the image if you don't believe us.
The process involves soaking a towel in alcohol and a secret elixir, placing that soaked towel on the client's face and then putting it on fire. The towel is kept lit for a few seconds before the fire is extinguished with another towel. The makers of this fire facial believe that the burning can treat skin problems like wrinkles, sagging skin, and fine lines by stimulating the skin. It isn't just restricted to the face. You can have this treatment done on other body parts too, like the back, stomach etc, as it helps cure obesity and tones the area.
The reason for using fire is because according to the inventors of this facial, extreme heat can alter one's body's chemistry due to the adrenalin response. This facial has become a hot new trend in China. What one can do for vanity has no limits after all!
