Expert tips to choose the correct toner for sensitive, oily, dry or combination skin

You may choose to skip using skin toners but before you brush off this essential step, know that toners cleanse, moisturise and soothe the skin. These 5 tips will help you stick to your beauty regimen.Toners have a light texture and can easily penetrate into your skin. For oily skin: To keep the unwanted oil and grease in check, use toners with astringents that will not only tighten pores but will also remove any excess oil. If it contains high alcohol content, then be sure that it is an astringent which works well for oily skin types. For dry skin: If you are battling with dry skin be sure that your toner does not contain any astringent. Look for toners that contain hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid. It will help soothe and hydrate your skin before you even apply a moisturiser. Here are 7 tips to make dull skin glow.

For combination skin: If your T-zone is oily, use toners which have oil absorbing properties along your chin forehead and nose. Make sure that you do not apply any of these in the dry areas of your face. For your cheeks, you can use a mild moisturising toner that will hydrate your skin without making it oily.

For sensitive skin: The water mists can act as an excellent toner for a sensitive skin tone. They are both light and moisturising and can help your skin glow. Follow these expert tips to manage sensitive skin.

You can apply the toner by spraying it directly on your face or with a cotton ball. You can also press a little toner into your palms and apply it gently on your face.
