Every girl likes waking up to her hair looking just right and pretty for the rest of the day without having to resort to any hairstyling tools. Natural waves, soft curls or silky straight hair is not too much of a task to achieve. For these styles, all you got to do is play around with some tricks before you hit the bed to wake up with the kind of hair you've always wanted, here is what you can do:
If limp and flat hair is your issue then you should give twisting your hair a try and leave it overnight. This will get you some bouncy volume on your crown portion and the hair texture turns out looking curlier and rather dramatic. Here is the braiding technique for heat-free curls.
Steps:
Begin with tying a high ponytail. This shouldn't be too tight or else it would cause breakage.
Twist your hair from the pony into a bun, right on top of your head.
If you are keen on wanting crazy curls, just section your hair so you could tie small similar buns. Ensure you are tying them up comfortably for the night.
When you open up your hair, just run your fingers through them for some light combing.
If you are stepping out for the day then set your hair up with some hairspray and you are good to go. Here is how you can sport the bubble braid.

This is probably even simpler than the above mentioned technique and would take you just a few minutes. This twisting style also works if you are not game for an extreme curly haired look. The appearance looks natural yet edgy.
Steps:
Comb out all your tangles, before you get twisting. Your hair could be damp bu not completely wet.
Once done, create a centre parting.
Now, begin with one side and take all your hair from just below your ears and twist it upwards.
While you are twisting your hair completely right till the tips place it towards the other end of your head from the front side.
Pin the hair carefully and ensure it's not too tight so you could sleep off with it comfortably.
Do the same for the other side.
Open up the pins the next morning and use a 'beach-wave' spray if you wish to.
Headband coiling for soft waves
You would definitely be having a headband lying in your drawer and this is one of the best ways you could use it. A thick cloth headband which is comfortable enough to last you through your sleeping hours could work well for nice, soft waves.
Steps:
Place a well fitted and thick head band, pulling it slightly below your crown portion, even from behind.
Once the headband is placed well in way that you can sleep through it comfortably, begin coiling your in thin sections.
You could either take a section of hair thicker in volume or thinner depending on how tight you want the curls to be. The thicker the hair section taken the looser the curls or waves.
Accordingly begin taking a section of hair and role it beneath the headband and continue throughout the head.
Sleep over it or you could also use this an hour or so in prior if you are stepping out.
If you've had enough of wavy or curly hair and want to go the other way, you can straighten it too without any exposure to heat. Coiling the hair around the head is a no-heat way to not just straighten out your waves but lets your hair fall naturally in a sleek matter.
Steps:
You hair should preferably be damp. It maybe a common practice to towel dry the hair but you could replace the towel with a soft old T-shirt. This way your hair wont succumb to breakage.
Use a hair serum or a leave-in conditioner on damp hair before you proceed.
Carefully take equal sections of your hair without twisting or twirling them too much and instead coil them around your head, one after the other.
To put them in place use bigger pins or clips. Your hair will look as if it is wrapped around.
