Easy DIY apple scrub for perfectly flawless skin

This DIY fruit scrub will keep your skin smooth and soft this winter.

No matter your skin type, exfoliation is a must. Even if you have the most sensitive skin, you will still have to exfoliate it using a mild scrub. Exfoliating scrapes off the dead skin cells and makes your skin radiant and smooth. It also aids in better blood circulation, giving you a renewed and younger looking skin. If you are hesitant to put chemical-laden store-bought products on your face, here s a homemade face scrub recommended by dermatologist Dr Sejal Shah, suitable for dry and normal skin. You can also try this sweet scrub for soft, kissable lips.

  • Chop an apple and add it to a food processor. Apple has vitamin C in abundance that keeps your skin firm and gives it a beautiful inner radiance.
  • Then add cup oatmeal to the processor. The oatmeal works well to tighten the pores and to remove any excess oil from the skin.
  • Add three tablespoon crushed walnuts and two teaspoons raw honey. Walnut is an excellent face scrub that will gently scrape off the dead skin cells.
  • Next, add 1/4th tsp ground cinnamon to the processor. Cinnamon unclogs and tightens the skin pores and cleanses them well. Cinnamon also helps clear off acne causing bacteria.
  • Finally, add 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice. Not only does lemon brighten your skin but lightens it too.
  • Now, mix all the ingredients in the processor to make a thick paste.
  • Then add two teaspoons brown sugar to the mixture. Brown sugar will exfoliate and moisturise the skin. Also, try these 5 home remedies for dry skin.
  • Gently apply the mixture on your skin.
  • Rub the scrub on your forehead, nose and chin. Leave it for 5 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Use this apple scrub two-three times a week for that radiant glow.
