Beauty Tip--DIY rose foot scrub for soft and beautiful feet

If the summer sandals are leaving you with rough, tanned and smelly feet, we have the perfect natural remedy for you. This rose foot scrub recommended by cosmetologist Nandita Das is not only aromatic but it is extremely effective. So whip up this decadent and cost effective foot scrub, pour it into a glass jar and you have a chic and fabulous homemade foot scrub.

Steps to prepare:

  • Combine cup sea salt with 1 tbsp rose water.
  • Take three stems of fresh mint leaves and shred the mint leaves into small pieces.
  • Add the leaves to the rose mixture. Now with the help of a spatula stir, the mint leaves into the mix.
  • Then add a handful of rose petals into the mix.
  • Then add one tablespoon olive oil to the mixture and combine well. Just ensure that the mixture is not too thick or too runny.
  • Rub the scrub onto your damp feet and gently massage your feet with the scrub for as long as you want. It will feel lovely for those with sensitive feet. This way you are not only exfoliating your feet but you are massaging your hands too.

The scrub will improve the texture of your skin relieving calluses and dry patches. Rose water will moisturise your skin and help remove the dead skin cells. Sea salt is a mild exfoliant but it still rejuvenates your skin. Here's an easy 5-minute routine for beautiful feet.

Tips:

Choose breathable footwear: If you re prone to excessively sweaty feet, look for shoes made of mesh fabrics for maximum breathability.
