Pineapples are also a well-known beauty secret when it comes to softening and cleansing your skin. Fresh pineapples are rich in the enzyme, bromelain [1]. This active ingredient cleanses and freshens the skin by removing dead skin cells and other surface impurities. You can also use the tough outer rind as a skin scrubber to exfoliate your skin. If you don t have access to fresh pineapple you can also use the canned fruit it works equally as well on your skin. So whip up this pineapple scrub recommended by beauty blogger Anuradha Goswami for baby soft skin.

Dos and don ts of scrubbing your face

People with oily skin can scrub more often than people who have dry, flaky skin. Also, youngsters can scrub more often than older women with mature skin. The micro-beads present in scrubs will clear out your skin and make it smoother and glowing.

But even then, scrubbing can leave your skin feeling raw and harsh if done in excess. Remember, scrubbing is not a daily skin routine. It should be done only once in a week or 15 days, based on how your skin reacts to it. People who have sensitive skin should ideally ask their dermatologist how often they should use a scrub as it can lead it redness and rashes if overdone. Here's a step-by-step guide to getting a spa-like facial at home.
