Liquid foundations are an integral part of our makeup regimen and many a time we are not able to find a colour matching our skin tone. Plus foundations aren't even very cheap these days. However, there is a solution to these problems that is very easy and is good for your skin too, JUST DIY IT. Yes, it is really very easy to make foundations at home and you'll have the liberty to determine the consistency and colour. Here's how you can make it at home:
Ingredients for the texture:
2 and a half teaspoons of jojoba oil/Hemp seed oil
1/2 to 2 teaspoons cocoa powder(depending on how dark you want it to be)
1/2 teaspoons mica powder of choice(for a bit of glitter, so optional)
1 teaspoons clay (Earth Clay or Bentonite Clay)
Instruction:
Firstly you must keep in mind that you have decided the consistency and colour you want.
Melt the shea butter, oil and wax in a double boiler. Wait for it to melt completely and slowly.
Now slowly add the aloe vera and witch hazel and from slow to fast mix it well until you find it in a smooth texture.
Take it off the heat.
Now it is time to add colour to it. Slowly, in very small amounts start with zinc and clays until it is completely mixed with the oils.

Now add mica powders and cocoa powder. Be very careful here as this will give the real colour to the foundation. In very small amounts keep adding it pinch by pinch till you are satisfied with the colour and texture.
Let it cool.
Time to check its colour. Take a bit of it and swatch it on your cheeks or hands.
